In the heart of Venice, the high-end hospitality choses Animamundi, gently metallic micro-textured paint

  Strolling around one  of the most beautiful cities in the world, surrounded by the charme of  water, by enchanted bridges and squares, hidden just behind the famous Piazza San Marco, here you find the “Campiello Hotel Venice “, in the heart of the Castello district.  A former monastery, surrounded by silence with a unique view, recently restored by Rialto Group, a design firm specialized  in turn-key contracts, for which the interiors of this “gem” of architecture of the sixteenth century, transformed into an elegant hotel, has picked for the decoration of the its walls Animamundi  by Novacolor. Animamundi is the decoration that enhances  the vitality and spirit of nature. Animamundi is a decorative textured paint for interior and exterior, with a  gentle metallic pattern, which offers both, soft pearlescent shades and a strong visual look.

Venice Biennale of Architecture - Novacolor sponsor of the Venice Pavilion

Novacolor is proud to sponsor the Biennale of Architecture and specifically the Venice Pavilion , with a showcase of some of the most innovative and designers-oriented products of the company. Novacolor textured paints were used in the set-up of “ Sonnets in Babylon” at the Venice Pavilion, curated by Daniel Libeskind, U.S. architect father of Deconstructivism. Novacolor textured paints chosen for this project are MATmotion, Africa and Dune , all of them already introduced worldwide with their innovative style and the high performances.

New spaces for a fast-growing company

Novacolor, company part of San Marco Group and manufacturer of decorative paints for architecture, recently purchased a new plant of 8.400 m 2 , in the industrial district of Forlì, not far from the high way. An important investment coherent with the trend of growth of the last years that, thanks most of all to the export  activities, generated from 2010 to 2013 a turnover of +65%. It is an important goal for the “Colour Boutique”, s pecialized in decorative paints for prestigious designers and projects in over 50 countries worldwide that chose the Made in Italy to achieve valuable aesthetic effects. The mission of this investment is to create an innovative manufacturing unit, specialized in the production of high quality decorative finishes, with modern equipments that combine the most recent technologies with handcrafts. The logistic system will be able to manage customized solutions able to attend to the most various requests coming from the export market. The building image reflects the identity of Novacolor seen as the “boutique of decoration”.

Novacolor worldwide

In May, from 7 to 9, Novacolor attended BUILD FOR EXPO in Hong Kong; from 9 to 11 we were in Lagos, Nigeria, for one of the best known interior designers appointment in  Africa, Gida Uno Ile Design Exhibition ; from 12 to 15 in Doha for PROJECT QATAR ; from 19 to 22, we showcased our products in two different events, both of them pivotal in the segment of big projects: INDEX in Dubai and LYBIA BUILD in Tripoli. “The presence of Novacolor in the main international exhibitions and events in the segment of Architecture and Design is a strategic choice, with a very  positive outcome for our company” says Roberta Vecci, Export Manager of Novacolor. “Now, more than ever, we strongly believe that high quality products, Made in Italy  and solid business relationships with local companies, represent a winning strategy to  open new markets in the medium-short term, especially in new countries. While Italy is still slowly recovering from a huge recession, the rest of the world is speeding-up, especially in the East and Middle East.”

Novacolor attends the Salone del Mobile 2014

The Milan exhibition, international landmark for design and furniture, has just finished. Novacolor attended the Salone del Mobile 2014 within the stands of Misura Emme and Dada Spa, two well knows  brands of design.  The booth of Misura Emme was fully painted with MATmotion, an extra matt wall enamel, with an eye catching range of colours. A purely matt paint, water-based, that guarantees excellent aesthetic results with extremely low emissions of volatile compounds during the application, and no formaldehyde nor added plasticizers.   The booth of Dada Spa instead, showcased Dune metallic  finish for interiors, that reminds of old fabrics, perfectly suitable both with classical or modern environments.

In April, 8-13, Novacolor attended several events all around Milan.  In Piazza Affari, as one of the  partners for   “Souvenir of Milan”, to celebrate art, food and design with the provocative work L.O.V.E. by Maurizio Cattelan. Novacolor distributed sweets and candies all around the city center with a branded cart named "We design the world with the sweetes colours".  Another interesting instalment at the Fabbrica del Vapore, with the “Forest of Colours” and the temporary paintshop “Vetrina”, during the event “ Sharing Design”,  promoted by Milano Makers with the main focus of   eco sustainability.  Novacolor was also a technical sponsor of De Padova showroom in Corso Venezia with the recently born product line MATmotion , used to revamp all the interior halls of the famous show room and partner of the format Good Food in Good Design, with a special soiree dedicated to colour design featuring the well-known designer Maria Christina Hamel.

Novacolor protagonista a Maison&Objet Asia 2014

Si è appena conclusa la fiera Maison&Objet ASIA a Singapore con più di 270 espositori su 14.000 metri quadrati. Luxury, Design e Interior Decoration sono state le tre aree su cui si sono sviluppati gli incontri e le esposizioni. Il Designer dell’anno Kenneth Cobonpue ha aperto l’esposizione con un interessante intervento durante  Interior Design & Lifestyle Summit.  Novacolor non ha perso questo appuntamento così importante per tutto il mercato asiatico e che raccoglie l’interesse anche di Architetti e Designer provenienti da Australia, New Zealand, India, Cina e Giappone. L’ azienda boutique italiana della decorazione ha presentato le ultime collezioni, che  stanno raccogliendo un forte interesse in tutto il mondo:  Archi+ Concrete , un rivestimento decorativo che riproduce effetti simili al “cemento”, con finiture estetiche dai colori morbidi e al contempo vibranti, in linea con le più attuali e moderne tendenze in architettura e nel design di interni ed esterni. Wall2Floor un sistema minerale per la decorazione di pareti e pavimenti, che garantisce l’ottenimento di superfici continue e senza giunte. E il nuovissimo MATmotion con la sua versione MATmotion Eggy , semi-lucido per ferro e legno, eccezionale frutto del perfetto incontro tra la tradizione cromatica inglese e il gusto italiano. Con un’ampia gamma di tonalità, perfette per ogni ambiente, MatMotion sa donare eleganza e stile.  È uno smalto murale,  profondamente opaco, estremamente lavabile e di facile manutenzione.

Novacolor at Architect@Work

  Novacolor attends the second edition of Architect@Work UK, Earls Court  London 29-30 January 2014, the event  dedicated to architecture and interior design, with a focus on innovation. Novacolor,  i deal partner of achitects and designers , attends the event and showcases two great news: Archi+ Concrete, indoor and outdoor concrete textured coating and MATmotion,  matt emulsion for interiors with no VOC or added plasticisers.     Novacolor, da sempre  partner ideale di architetti e designer , parteciperà con entusiasmo all'evento, presentando  due grandi novità: Archi+ Concrete , rivestimento testurizzato per interni ed esterni ad effetto cemento, e  MATmotion , smalto murale super opaco per interni a bassa emissione di gas volatili.

Novacolor at HOMI - 29 January - 1 February, Milan

Contemporary classic. Novacolor at HOMI Milan.   Novacolor, for the second time in the last few months, will decorate HOMI CLASS, the exposition designed by Salamanca Design. Design and Italian lifestyle are the protagonists at HOMI, the exhibition scheduled from January 29 to February 1 at Milan Rho.  Novacolor, together with HOMI art directors, Alessandro Agrati and Lucy Salamanca, interprets the contemporary classic with a selection of special decorative finishes. Further to the successful edition of September 2015, HOMI CLASS grows with a space of 160 m2. HOMI CLASS will displays the excellences of the best Italian companies. Novacolor will decorate the space with Animamundi , the soft metallic finish (in the exterior court) and Celestia_Wall Painting , the water-based paint with “soft touch” effect (interior court).  Within the various areas, Novacolor will present 10 textures in the shades of grey.    Novacolor will launch also Calcecruda , the new product of 2016. Contemporary surfaces realized with traditional tecniques thanks to the versality of this product, made with clay and natural materials mixed by Novacolor to guarantee the most modern shades.   We look forward to meet you at HOMI CLASS, Hall 6 Booth D40 C48, HOMI Milan Rho.
